Rate: approx. $80–$100/hour (inc.)

About the Role

Our client in the aviation services industry is seeking 2 Senior IT Risk & Internal Audit Consultants to support their Internal Audit leadership team. These consultants will help deliver independent, objective assurance and advisory services aimed at improving operational efficiency, risk management, and internal controls across the organization.

This is a 6-month full-time contract with competitive rates and an opportunity to make an impact in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

What You Will Do

Participate in audit planning sessions to support the development of a flexible, risk-based audit plan.
Lead audit engagements and deliver results within assigned scope, timeline, and budget.
Develop risk-based audit programs for complex business processes and applications.
Complete audit work independently and supervise audit team members when required.
Review work done by junior auditors and provide constructive feedback.
Mentor team members and support knowledge-sharing across the department.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle.
Prepare audit reports, raise exceptions, and provide value-added recommendations.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Stay current with professional auditing standards (IIA, CIA, ISACA).

What You Bring

Post-secondary degree and/or professional accounting designation, or equivalent experience.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) — mandatory.
5+ years of experience in internal audit.
Strong experience documenting and auditing business processes and applications.
Solid understanding of risk and internal control frameworks.
General knowledge of fraud risk indicators and prevention practices.
Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks, including COBIT.
Ability to perform data analysis using automated auditing tools.
Experience in highly regulated industries (banking, manufacturing, automotive, transportation, etc.) is a strong asset.
