Internal Audit Manager (12 Months FTC) | Bristol (2-3 days in office) | £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus

We’re partnering with one of Bristol’s leading employers, known for their vibrant culture, supportive teams and commitment to helping people grow. We’re looking for an Internal Audit Manager. A role that sits right at the heart of the business, helping to strengthen their approach to governance, risk, controls, policy, compliance and data protection.

This would really suit a qualified accountant from practice (ACA / ACCA) or a Chartered Internal Auditor (CIA) who’s looking to take their experience into a growing organisation. You’ll be joining a high-performing, ambitious team where you’ll be encouraged to make an impact, share ideas and keep developing your skills.

It’s initially a 12-month fixed term contract, which for the right person could become permanent. Especially with the current growth trajectory.

Please note, we can only consider applicants who already have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities will include:

Deliver and support the annual internal assurance programme, leading audits across the organisation and sites.
Enhance assurance processes and audit quality systems.
Conduct annual Finance controls testing.
Act as a subject matter expert on UK audit reforms and their business impact.
Prepare clear, insightful reports for senior leaders, the Executive, and the Audit & Risk Committee.
Collaborate with H&S, Fire, Data Protection, and InfoSec teams to embed robust systems of control and achieve ISO and other standards.
Support the implementation of a policy framework and compliance regime aligned to the three lines of defence model.
Partner with L&D and Communications teams to deliver company-wide training and awareness programmes.
Support and mentor junior team members.
Work closely with the Head of Risk to coordinate outsourced assurance, operational audits, and improvement initiatives.
Contribute to investigations, policy compliance, and reporting at senior levels.

Your Profile:

ACA / ACCA / CIA Qualified
Available up to a month’s notice
Able to commute to Central Bristol 2-3 days a week
Self Starter
Someone able to influence decisions at an Executive level
