Role: Acturial Analyst

Type: 12 month contract

Location: Onsite in Toronto, ON

Rate: $45-$50/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Canada Life & Health Reserving team, the successful candidate will contribute to the various actuarial tasks of the department. This job represents a great opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining experience in several areas of corporate actuarial/reserving, and to be able to grasp the real impact of their work. This role will gain exposure to a variety of functions, including IFRS17 and Solvency II reporting activities, LICAT reporting and capital management, assumption development and AXIS modelling initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences or a related field.
Generally 2-5 years of relevant working experience within the life insurance/reinsurance industry, although profiles with more experience would be considered based on suitability.
Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (eg. Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, SAS, PowerBI) handle priorities / projects concurrently and to deliver

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with AXIS considered an asset
