Hiring for Security Analyst II in Mount Laurel Township, NJ(4 days onsite)
Job Description
The Security Analyst II develops and manages security across multiple IT functional areas—including data, systems, network, and web—throughout the enterprise. The role supports the creation, improvement, and execution of security policies and procedures, such as authentication standards, breach escalation processes, auditing routines, and firewall/encryption guidelines.
Key responsibilities include preparing status reports, performing security risk analysis, and assisting in incident response. The analyst tracks and monitors malicious activity such as software viruses and enforces security policies by administering and reviewing user security profiles. They investigate security violations, document security controls, and maintain security-related records.
This role also involves evaluating tools, technologies, and procedures to improve security operations. The analyst provides guidance to IT and business teams on security practices, interprets policies, and ensures security considerations are built into IT projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
3–6 years of combined IT and security experience covering system analysis, application development, database design/administration, or similar.
Minimum 3 years of dedicated information security experience.
Strong knowledge of security concepts, threats, techniques, and implications across various platforms.
Broad understanding of networking, systems, databases, or web operations.
Junior profiles may focus on security administration, while senior candidates may support enterprise security strategy, complex project work, and advanced issue resolution.
