One of the MSP's we represent is currently supporting a client in the St. Albert area who requires an experienced Power BI Developer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-visibility analytics initiatives, modernize reporting assets, and help evolve a growing data ecosystem. The ideal candidate thrives in hands-on development, enjoys solving complex data challenges, and is fully comfortable working on-site with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop new Power BI reports and dashboards, leveraging DAX, optimized data models, and clean visual design principles.
Work with diverse data sources to build, refine, and optimize data models aligned with reporting requirements.
Extend or create Fabric data pipelines, tables, and stored procedures within the Fabric data warehouse (when bandwidth allows).
Support the modernization and enhancement of existing Power BI assets, including transitioning older dashboards to Fabric-aligned patterns.
Collaborate directly with business users on-site to gather requirements, validate output, and ensure reporting meets operational needs.
Troubleshoot data and reporting issues proactively, ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability across all deliverables.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer with strong skills in DAX, data modelling, and report development.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, especially working with pipelines, or warehouse components.
Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and building stored procedures.
Proven ability to work with stakeholders on-site and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Experience modernizing legacy dashboards and optimizing report performance.
Ability to start immediately

$50-65 per/hour incorporated

6-month contract, 4-5 days in office
