Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer

Tarrytown, NY (Onsite)

Contract: W2 Only

Exciting opportunity for a talented Mechatronics / Robotics Engineer to join the advanced R&D team at Siemens Healthineers and contribute to the development of next-generation diagnostic instruments and automation platforms.

In this role, you will:

Build system-level mechatronics & robotics models (MBSE/MBD)

Develop simulations, controls, and design-optimization workflows

Work on precision motion, fluidic, and thermal subsystems

Integrate sensing, actuation, motion control & robotics technologies

Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems & Firmware teams

Drive concept-to-prototype execution and participate in design reviews

What We're Looking For:

Strong fundamentals in dynamics, controls, sensors/actuators, signal processing

Expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Stateflow

Experience with robotics, mechatronics, and system modeling

CAD familiarity (Siemens NX & Simcenter Motion – huge plus)

Programming experience (C/C++/Python)

Background in medical devices, robotics, aerospace, automation, or precision systems

Education: MS/PhD preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Biomedical, Engineering Physics)
