Summary
We are seeking a Robotics & Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, prototyping, mechatronics, and robotic systems development. This role focuses heavily on hands-on mechanical design, prototyping, assembly, and testing of robotic components and systems. Experience with AI/ML is beneficial but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and prototype mechanical components and assemblies for robotic systems.
Develop and integrate robotic subsystems including actuators, sensors, and motion components.
Work closely with electrical, firmware, and controls teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration.
Create CAD designs, fabrication drawings, and support rapid prototyping.
Conduct mechanical testing, validation, debugging, and optimization for reliability and performance.
Support development of autonomous or semi-autonomous robotic platforms.
(Optional/Nice to have) Contribute to perception and control algorithms leveraging AI/ML techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, prototyping, and hands-on hardware development.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, kinematics, dynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360).
Experience with mechanical fabrication techniques (3D printing, machining, assembly).
Working knowledge of robotics systems, motion control, and sensor integration.
Familiarity with Python, C++, or ROS is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, or perception algorithms.
Familiarity with simulation tools such as Gazebo or MATLAB/Simulink.
Knowledge of IoT components or embedded systems integration.
Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
