Position Scope:
We are an asset-based third-party logistics company that offers choice, capacity, and coverage for your entire supply chain across North America. Fastfrate is the largest trucking company that has a Canada-wide network. Our facilities span from coast to coast with terminals in every major city in Canada.
We are looking for individuals that would like to join a fast paced, professional, growing environment. You will oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to complete pricing and grow our carrier network within our Logistics division to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities of Pricing Analyst:
Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL, rail, road, air.
Work closely with leaders and business development departments to develop compliant cost/price strategies and proposals
Create customer proposals
Maintain professional communication with Director throughout the RFQ process on cost strategies and to ensure best pricing is presented in each proposal
Research and track competitor pricing and market trends
Maintain and improve existing pricing process and costs
Respond quickly to spot quotes
Uploading rates and maintenance of rate programs in TMS software
Be available after hours to assist with resolving pricing issues
Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (MON-FRI)
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years logistics experience in the transportation industry
Experience in cross boarder shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
Strong attention to details
Large network and excellent knowledge of crossborder and domestic carriers
Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
Effective teamwork skills
Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
Strong communication, customer service and computer skills
Ability to build rapport with both carriers and customers
MUST be proficient in Excel
