What You Will Do

Reporting directly to the Manager, Advanced Quality, you will support our customers through maintaining good quality products, by applying quality engineering methodologies to our internal production as well as supplied products. This role will support warranty, field issues, our supplier's quality, and the launch of new products.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

Support New Product Development using APQP/stage gate processes (timelines, PPAP, FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, inspections, gauge reviews).
Develop and implement inspection, testing, and measurement systems.
Conduct internal and supplier audits.
Maintain and improve quality system documents (procedures, work instructions, forms).
Manage non-conforming material and lead cost-of-quality (COQ) improvement projects.
Deliver training on quality tools, methods, and key product characteristics (KPCs).
Act as a subject matter expert in problem-solving and root cause analysis (8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone).
Lead hands-on problem-solving events and drive corrective actions.
Support tracking and improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Provide guidance on inspection techniques and measurement systems.
Communicate and resolve quality issues across teams and with suppliers.
Create and present clear, concise reports to internal teams and leadership.

What You Will Bring

College or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
5+ years of quality engineering experience (automotive or lean manufacturing is a plus).
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) are assets.
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; able to read blueprints and apply GD&T.
Experience working with suppliers, audits, and unionized environments is an asset.
Willingness to travel to U.S. locations and work globally with customers/suppliers.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Critical Experience & Competencies

5–7 years of experience in quality engineering or quality management within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of advanced quality planning tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP)
Proven leadership ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive accountability
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and implement effective solutions
Effective communication skills for engaging with teams, suppliers, and customers
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
Proactive and process-focused approach to continuous improvement and risk mitigation
Working knowledge of regulatory and customer-specific quality requirements
