This role involves redesigning and optimizing an existing live website to enhance its visual appeal, user experience, and search engine performance. The project is for a personal website and requires a creative and technically skilled web designer and developer who can work remotely on a part-time contract basis. The ideal candidate will assess the current site, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes that drive higher search rankings and better user engagement.

Deliverables

Conduct a comprehensive review of the current website to identify design and SEO improvement opportunities
Redesign website layout and visual elements to create a modern, user-friendly experience
Optimize all site content, images, and metadata for SEO best practices
Improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility
Implement on-page SEO strategies, including keyword integration and internal linking
Set up or enhance analytics tracking to monitor site performance
Provide recommendations for ongoing SEO and content improvements

Requirements

Proven experience in website design and development, with a strong portfolio of redesign projects
Expertise in SEO optimization, including technical, on-page, and content SEO
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
Ability to analyze website performance and implement data-driven improvements
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on remote projects
Availability for part-time contract work and flexibility to accommodate project needs
