Job Specifications

My client are looking for an experience application developer/software engineer with the following experience, the more of nice to have's the better.
12 month+ contract
Role is working Hybrid current policy is 2 days on site.
Essential
1. Java 2. Spring boot 3. Experience with one of UI technology Expertise in key technologies to be leveraged by the team including Java, CI/CD technologies. Experience in S3, Snowflake, Postgres Experience working with containerization and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/Openshift) and cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP or others. Experience in key technologies to be leveraged by the team including Java, CI/CD technologies Experience working with a variety of data platforms such as S3, Snowflake Experience building and implementing API service architectures Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies Experience in high availability & scalability design, as well as performance monitoring
Nice To Have
4+ years of work experience in Data Platform Administration/Engineering, or related Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) based solutions such as Lambda, Dynamo dB, Snowflake and S3. Knowledge of Data Warehouse technology (Unix/Teradata/Ab Initio/Python/Spark/Snowflake/No SQL) Experience in migrating ETL processes (not just data) from relational warehouse Databases to AWS based solutions. Experience in building & utilizing tools and frameworks within the Big Data ecosystem including Kafka, Spark, and NoSQL. Deep knowledge and very strong in SQL and Relational Databases Knowledge of Data Warehouse technology (Unix/Teradata/Ab Initio) Willingness to continuously learn & share learnings with others Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Very strong verbal & written communication skills Experience within the Financial industry
Brief DESCRIPTION (1) Engage in complex report creation. 15%(2) Diagnose, troubleshoot and fix issues in the production environment. . Identifies problems and possible solutions, and takes appropriate action to resolve. 40%(3) Reproduce problems, maintain knowledge of features in new releases, patches and hot fixes. 35%(4) Interprets results from system monitor reports and identifies problems. 5%(5) Responds during off hours to problem alerts. Corrects production issues within primary field of expertise. Understands escalation procedures to determine who and when to notify about problems that require more expertise or approval. 5%Experience/Training/Education:--Degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.--Typically minimal of 1+ year professional experience. --Knows and uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures to solve problems within primary field of expertise. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:--Strong skill in writing SQL statements --Effective oral and written communication skills--Excellent interpersonal skills--Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines--Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction--Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures--Ability to work in a team environment Leadership Responsibilities: Is accountable for individual assignments and an element of work group's results. Task Complexity: Works on complex projects. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency. Tasks are varied and complex. Decision Making: Wide latitude for independent judgment.
