Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business & Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career who is eager to learn and contribute to data-driven decision-making, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. You will support senior analysts and business stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to uncover insights and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing data from various sources including Azure SQL databases and Excel
Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business operations
Ensure data accuracy and completeness in reports and dashboards
Develop and maintain SQL databases to supporting reporting requirements
Lead the development of dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI
Create visually engaging and user-friendly reports to communicate insights to business users
Help maintain and update existing reporting tools and templates
Assist in preparing financial and operational reports, including cost analysis and forecasting
Contribute to the development of simple financial models under guidance
Participate in evaluating business needs and identifying opportunities for data-driven improvements
Support preparation of month end deliverables to Finance and understanding the key business drivers to explain variances and anomalies
Document current workflows and identify inefficiencies through data and stakeholder input
Support small-scale process improvement initiatives and automation efforts
Apply design-thinking and user-focused approaches to improve data usability and accessibility
Work closely with business teams to understand reporting and data needs
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Learn from senior team members and participate in training and mentorship opportunities
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3-5 years hands on experience using Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack with primary focus on Power BI
Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases, warehouses and data lakes in Azure SQL DB
Integration environment, incl. utilization in Logic Apps, Function Apps, Functions, and API Management.
Knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is a must.
Experience in modelling and data visualization; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, graphs)
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Good communication and collaboration skills
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Compensation: $69,136 - $110,618
Please note that the compensation range listed includes base salary and potential incentive pay. Incentives such as bonuses are not guaranteed and depend on individual performance and company results. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
