Alexander Technology Group is partnering with a client to hire a Compliance Consultant focused on SOC 2 readiness.

This is a fully remote, 12–24+ month contract role. No third-party or C2C candidates will be considered.

Compliance Consultant – SOC Readiness

The Compliance Consultant will serve as the primary advisor for SOC 2 readiness and compliance, guiding IT leadership and business teams to ensure systems and processes are audit-ready. This role will identify compliance gaps, recommend solutions, and support the implementation of controls, documentation, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Advise on SOC 2 readiness, gap assessments, and related regulatory frameworks
Support implementation of controls, remediation plans, and process improvements
Lead or assist with SOC readiness efforts, including risk assessments, evidence collection, and audit coordination
Develop compliance documentation, training, and SOPs
Prepare leadership for SOC audits and liaise with external auditors
Monitor regulatory changes and report compliance status and risks to IT leadership

Qualifications

Experience with SOC 2 readiness, compliance consulting, or audit preparation
Strong knowledge of IT controls, risk management, and regulatory standards
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Certifications (CISA, CISSP) or hands-on SOC 2 implementation experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and cloud environments a plus
