We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client's team on a 6-month contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will oversee and enhance key corporate accounting functions, support financial reporting processes, and contribute to the development of improved workflows and controls. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within the renewable energy industry while leveraging your expertise to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Provide support for the year-end audit process, including the preparation of required documentation.

• Lead special projects aimed at refining business processes and improving operational efficiency.

• Develop and implement new procedures and controls to enhance the Finance department’s workflow and reporting accuracy.

• Manage and analyze consolidated revenue data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Review and optimize the management of fixed assets to ensure proper recording and workflow efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with public company accounting and reporting standards.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to foster growth and development.

Requirements:

• Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) with at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong background in month-end and quarter-end close processes, as well as year-end audit preparation.

• Experience in public company accounting and reporting, including familiarity with multi-currency transactions.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of financial systems.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated and adaptable to take initiative and learn quickly in a dynamic setting.
