Position Overview

As a Solution Engineer II at Diligent, you will play a critical role in supporting complex and enterprise pre-sales engagements by designing, prototyping, and demonstrating tailored GRC solutions. You will partner closely with Sales, Solution Architects, Product, and Professional Services to translate sophisticated customer requirements into compelling technical solutions that accelerate deal velocity and drive technical wins.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer-facing problem solving, and building prototypes and automations that showcase how modern GRC platforms integrate into enterprise ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Technical Execution

Partner with Sales, SEs, and Solution Architects to support mid-market and enterprise GRC opportunities
Own the technical pre-sales win for assigned deals, including solution validation, design, and risk mitigation
Design and deliver tailored demos, technical deep dives, and proof-of-concepts (POCs)

Solution Prototyping & Automation

Build demo prototypes, automation scripts, and integration examples using Python
Develop solutions and workflows to demonstrate:
Data ingestion and transformation
API-based integrations
Process automation and orchestration
Leverage REST APIs to integrate Diligent with third-party enterprise systems

Technical Storytelling

Translate complex GRC use cases into clear, value-driven technical narratives
Prepare demo assets, technical diagrams, and supporting materials for customer engagements
Confidently present to technical, business, and executive stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product Management to:
Stay current on new capabilities and roadmap
Provide structured feedback from customer engagements
Collaborate with Marketing on webinars, conferences, and thought-leadership initiatives
Support internal enablement by sharing reusable demo assets and technical patterns

Required Experience/Skills

Technical Background

3+ years of experience in:
Pre-sales engineering
Technical consulting
Solutions architecture
Software implementation or integration roles
Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with:
REST APIs
Data handling and transformation
Automation scripts and tooling
Familiarity with common Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, Requests)
Exposure to:
Workflow automation platforms
Data pipelines or ETL processes
Security, audit, or compliance tooling
Experience building demo environments or reusable technical accelerators

Enterprise & Customer-Facing Experience

Experience supporting enterprise or regulated customers
Experience working in customer-facing roles within B2B SaaS or enterprise software
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and complex buying committees
Proven ability to balance technical depth with business value articulation

Domain & Mindset

Strong interest in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Data Analytics
Experience with GRC platforms, regulated industries, or enterprise data workflows is a strong plus
Curious, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-moving environments

Pay Range

$100,000—$115,000 CAD
