Job Specifications

As a Business Continuity & Risk Management Expert , you will ensure the resilience of the organization by developing and implementing robust business continuity plans and crisis management strategies that minimize disruptions and enable timely recovery from adverse events.

Your main responsibilities:

Business Continuity Planning:

Develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs) aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Conduct business impact assessments (BIAs) to identify critical processes, dependencies, and recovery priorities.
Establish and manage business continuity governance frameworks and committees.

Crisis Management and Response:

Lead the organization's crisis management team and coordinate response efforts during emergencies and crises.
Develop crisis communication strategies and protocols to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to stakeholders.
Conduct crisis simulations and tabletop exercises to test preparedness and response capabilities.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Identify, assess, and prioritize risks that could impact business operations and continuity.
Implement risk mitigation measures and controls to reduce the likelihood and impact of disruptive events.
Monitor emerging threats and regulatory changes that may affect business continuity planning.

Incident Investigation and Analysis:

Investigate and analyze incidents, disruptions, and near-misses to identify root causes and lessons learned.
Develop corrective actions and recommendations to prevent future incidents and enhance resilience.

Business Recovery and Resumption:

Coordinate business recovery activities and ensure timely resumption of critical operations following disruptions.
Establish recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for key business functions.

Continuous Improvement and Program Evaluation:

Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of business continuity plans and crisis management strategies.
Conduct program reviews, audits, and exercises to validate readiness and identify areas for improvement.

Implement and maintain OBE ISO/IEC27001 & ISO22301 management systems:

Lead the implementation and ongoing scope extensions of ISO/IEC27001 (Information Security) and ISO22301 (Business Continuity) standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with global best practices.
Operate a centralize governance of both management systems to have a cohesive management system, fitting with organization value and practices, while promoting a culture of resilience and information security awareness across the organization.

Your profile:

Master's degree in Industrial/Civil Engineering or Telecommunications and/or Informatics
At least 3 years of work experience in an IT and Network environment
Knowledge of business continuity and risk and crisis management
Certification ISO22301 would be a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Leadership and assertivity
Advanced writing skills
Fluent English and French and/or Dutch

Specific requirement:

A positive security advice from the National Security Authority is required for this role and the HR team will support you in the process after contract signature.
