We seek a proactive and detailed person to join the team as a Territory Manager servicing a large geographical hybrid territory of high-profile restaurants & liquor retail sales outlets. Covering but not limited to: Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove and Jasper
You will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding portfolio of wines and spirits from award winning and environmentally conscious family owned and operated wine estates and distilleries. This position will allow for autonomy to manage your territory while supporting a positive work/life balance. This is a full-time, permanent position. The role will require some evening and weekend work for events, festivals and supplier visits which are planned well in advance. Work location: 80% field work, 20% office work. This role has access to a regional office and shared work space but dedicated home office is encouraged.
Expectations of the role:
Drive Sales Growth: Increase both sales volume and revenue within your territory.
Expand Brand Presence: Increase product distribution in retail stores, and licensees.
Launch New Products: Manage the introduction of new products to the market.
Product Training: Coordinate, host and conduct product training to trade partners and consumers alike in different settings and groups sizes.
Execute Promotions: implement promotional and merchandising programs aligned with brand strategies and budgets.
Set and Achieve Objectives: Develop sales objectives and plan strategies to ensure success.
Track and Report: Maintain call account tracking, administrative reports in a timely manner.
Manage Budgets: build your promotional budgets for approval by Provincial Sales Manager.
Business Acumen: Integrate opportunity, revenue and profitability within sales activities to generate the greatest ROI.
Collaborate Effectively: Work cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment.
Market Expertise: Develop a deep knowledge of the local business landscape, and category trends to maximize business opportunities.
Brands & Products: Understand and position our brands within the competitive set to offer solutions to trade partners.
Drive for Sales Results: Assess, recommend, implement, and evaluate commercial activities to optimize performance and ensure excellence in execution.
Negotiation Skills: Manage customer needs and requests through effective negotiation techniques to achieve objectives.
Consultive Approach: Identify market needs while developing mutually beneficial business relationships with trade parters through cooperation and strong interpersonal skills.
Analytical Thinking: Analyze information to make effective recommendations.
Organization & Planning: Prioritize tasks, managing time and resources efficiently for highest impact output.
Adapt: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving industry.
Requirements for this position:
Experience in the beverage alcohol or hospitality sector.
Full‐time access to a reliable vehicle and a valid, unimpeded Alberta Driver’s License.
Use of personal credit cards for work expenses, submitted and reimbursed two times per month.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Travel required within the territory, provincial sales meetings, and occasional overnights.
Valid and unimpeded passport, to travel outside of Canada to visit our brands.
This job requires moving equipment, supplies and lifting 23 kg/50 lbs regularly, as well as standing for long periods at trade shows pouring product for extended periods.
WSET Level 2 or equivalent is minimum, proof is required.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Clear and concise business communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.
Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at social media platforms to understand how to maximize brand and trade partner exposure.
Be comfortable conducting business in written and spoken English.
Administratively strong.
Accountable: ownership of one’s actions and results.

The salary range for this position will be $55,000-$75,000/year commensurate with experience,
