Client Partner – Central Government, Leading Digital & Technology Consultancy

A leading digital and technology consultancy with a major presence across UK Central Government is hiring a seasoned Client Partner to drive strategy, growth and commercial performance across flagship Whitehall accounts. This role suits someone who understands government priorities, has strong public‑sector relationships and brings proven success delivering and scaling £20m+ digital programmes.

About the Role

You’ll take ownership of major Central Government accounts, setting long‑term strategy, building senior‑level relationships and shaping multi‑year digital transformation plans. You’ll lead high‑value pursuits, identify new opportunities across departments and agencies, and work closely with delivery teams to ensure the consultancy remains a trusted, strategic partner. This is a fast‑paced, commercially focused leadership role with hybrid working across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow major Central Government account portfolios

• Build strong relationships with senior civil servants and commercial leaders

• Develop multi‑year account strategies aligned to government digital priorities

• Identify and progress new opportunities across departments, agencies and ALBs

• Lead commercial strategy and major bids for £20m+ programmes

• Oversee forecasting, pipeline management and commercial governance

• Partner with delivery teams to secure renewals, extensions and expansions

• Leverage alliances, vendors and government frameworks to support growth

• Influence internal capability development to meet evolving public‑sector needs

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience working with Central Government departments, agencies or ALBs

• Background in consulting, digital transformation or professional services

• Track record winning and growing £20m+ public‑sector deals

• Strong knowledge of procurement routes including G‑Cloud, DOS and CCS

• Skilled in deal shaping, commercial strategy, risk management and bid leadership

• Confident engaging Director‑ and Executive‑level stakeholders

• Strong commercial, financial and legal acumen

• Collaborative, strategic and able to influence across teams
