Job Specifications

Senior Data Architect – Contract

Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: Glasgow City Centre – 5 days onsite

Duration: 6 months | Start: February 2026

A contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join a high-profile market data transformation programme within a large financial services environment.

Responsibilities

Model and structure marketplace data and define new data catalogues
Validate data contracts and usage rights
Define and improve data architecture and governance policies
Design data flows for third-party data initiatives
Work with RDF data models and SPARQL
Query data using Oracle SQL and ElasticSearch
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an Agile environment

Required Experience

Strong background in data architecture and data modelling
Hands-on experience with RDF, SPARQL, and W3C standards
Experience with AWS Neptune, AWS Glue, ElasticSearch, and Oracle
Agile delivery experience
Strong stakeholder communication skills

Desirable

AWS certification or hands-on experience
Airflow or orchestration tools
Regulatory / financial services experience
