Interim Senior Commercial Finance Role

A well-established, technology-led organisation is seeking an interim Senior Commercial Finance professional to lead a large commercial finance function. This is a senior leadership role with strong visibility, partnering directly with executive leadership to shape company strategy, optimize investment decisions, and drive long-term profitability.

The role

Lead, build, and scale a large finance & strategy team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Drive strategic decision-making and capital allocation across the business
Own and improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
Build and maintain complex financial models and business cases used across the organisation
Track and analyse key business KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Partner with senior leaders across functions to influence strategy and drive execution
Lead high-impact initiatives and special projects that support growth and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate

8+ years’ experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking
Proven track record leading large, high-performing teams in a fast-growing company
Strong experience owning budgets and forecasts for major organisational functions
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide strategic decisions
Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills (advanced Excel/Google Sheets)
Comfortable working with large datasets and basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn)
Passionate about developing talent and setting a gold standard for finance excellence
