Position Details:

Title: Senior Power Platform Developer

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid Role (2-4 days a week)

Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ months contract with possible extension

Start Date: ASAP

Must Have: Certifications: PL-200/PL-400

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer with a strong background in Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint and other connectors. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. You will be responsible for building scalable applications, automating business processes, and delivering actionable insights through data visualization and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development
Design and implement applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) and Power Automate workflows.
Build dashboards and reports using Power BI for actionable insights.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Azure services, Jira, Confluence, and third-party APIs.
Develop and manage custom connectors for external systems and services.
Automation & Optimization
Identify business processes for automation and deliver scalable solutions.
Develop scripts in Python for data transformation and advanced automation scenarios.
Governance & Security
Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and Microsoft best practices.
Manage environmental strategies, data loss prevention policies, and role-based access control.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide training and support for end-users and internal teams.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on emerging low-code/no-code platforms and Microsoft ecosystem enhancements.
Recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse).
Microsoft Certifications: PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant or PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Proven expertise in handling .csv files, Excel, and data transformation.
Experience in Integration solutions based on data being sourced from SharePoint Online and Dataverse.
Knowledge of integrating Power Apps with azure services(Logic Apps, Functions and Storage)
Strong knowledge of Power Fx, DAX and M/Power query as they apply to Power Apps.
Strong Understanding of REST APIs, JSON and data integration techniques.
Experience in utilizing JIRA and Confluence for project tracking.
Demonstrated ability to optimize Power BI dashboards and Power Automate flows for performance.
Familiarity with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) for Power Platform solutions.
Experience in process mapping and process improvement through automation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements and present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Power Platform certifications PL200/PL400
Experience with Azure services and cloud integrations.
Familiarity with other data visualization tools.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Expertise in utilizing Python for performing data analysis and automation.
