Position:
Alongside RealVNC’s broader Sales and Retention team, our Renewals Executives play a critical role in RealVNC’s customer strategy. As such, RealVNC is looking for a Renewals Executive to secure up-for renewal revenue and identify possible expansion opportunities. Ideal candidates will exhibit high levels of business and sales acumen, while maintaining a customer-first approach.
The Renewals Executive is responsible for protecting and growing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within a dynamic subscription and SaaS customer base. This role ensures timely and accurate renewal of contracts, proactively engaging customers to understand their budgets, approval processes, and requirements to secure renewals ahead of expiration. The position involves managing the full quote-to-close process, defending against competitive pressures, and uncovering expansion opportunities through close collaboration with Sales and Account Management teams.
The Renewals Executive owns all aspects of the contract process, including co-terming, upselling, and multi-year options, while maintaining clear and professional communication with customers. They provide management with accurate updates on renewal status, forecast churn, and identify accounts at risk to mitigate potential losses. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Channel, Legal, Finance, and Sales Management to navigate customer requests and deliver exceptional retention results. Meeting and exceeding revenue retention goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis is a key performance metric.
Key responsibilities include;
Protecting and growing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) for the growing subscription and SaaS customer base by securing renewal contracts in advance of expiration.
Engaging customers in conversations to understand budgets, key stakeholders, approval processes and timelines, understand requirements in order to bring renewals to a close.
Responsible for managing the quote to close process for all renewals within an assigned territory or Tier, accurately, reviewing, preparing, and presenting renewal sales quotes in advance.
Effectively defend against competitive pressures, within SaaS environments, and uncovering additional expansion opportunities.
Partnering closely with Sales and Account Management teams to effectively and regularly discover and close expansion opportunities.
Ownership of contract processes along with corresponding customer communications encompassing co-terming, upselling and multi-year options related to subscription renewals.
Providing regular and accurate updates to the management team on renewal status and customer escalation requests as needed.
Identify and act upon accounts that present signs of being at risk of future churn.
Communicating and effectively partnering with Sales, Channel, Legal, Finance, and Sales Management to navigate customer requests to bring renewals to closure.
Meeting and exceeding annual, quarterly and monthly revenue retention goals.
Accurately forecasting expected churn on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Are experienced with all core Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Have experience in a customer retention based role - e.g. Customer Success, Account Management or similar (desirable).
Have experience using a CRM system - e.g. Salesforce (desirable).
Have knowledge of other revenue systems including Outreach and Kluster (desirable).
