Role Purpose:

The Transformation Director will lead the strategic transformation of back-office operations for a UK-based insurer, driving operational efficiency, digital enablement, and cultural change across the organization. This role is pivotal in modernizing processes, embedding automation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver exceptional service and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the transformation roadmap for back-office operations, aligning with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization: Oversee redesign of core processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Technology Enablement: Partner with IT and vendors to implement automation, workflow tools, and data-driven solutions.
Cultural Change: Champion a shift towards a customer-centric, agile, and collaborative culture within operations teams.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leadership, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Performance Management: Establish KPIs and governance frameworks to monitor progress and ensure delivery of transformation benefits.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure all changes adhere to regulatory standards and risk management practices.

Expected Experience:

Proven track record in leading large-scale operational transformation within insurance or financial services.
Deep understanding of back-office functions (policy administration, claims processing, finance operations).
Experience in implementing automation technologies (RPA, AI, workflow platforms).
Strong background in change management and cultural transformation.
Demonstrated success in managing complex stakeholder environments and influencing at executive level.
