Position: Senior Applications Architect

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)

Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid, 7.00 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

Note on Assignment Type:

This position is provisionally Onsite requiring 7.00 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement:

The City is seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Architect with deep expertise in IBM Maximo (MAS, Mobile, and 7.6.x). The consultant will lead large‑scale application architecture initiatives, including Maximo solution design, integrations, testing oversight, and modernization activities. The resource will collaborate closely with the EWMS Maximo program team, divisions, and stakeholders across the organization to implement enhancements, oversee technical delivery, ensure system readiness, and provide expert guidance across all stages of the SDLC.

Scope

The consultant will lead solution architecture and application delivery activities, including:

Designing, developing, documenting, and implementing IBM Maximo application architectures across complex enterprise environments.
Leading development teams and directing technical activities across the full SDLC.
Gathering business requirements, mapping processes, and designing Maximo/Mobile-based solutions aligned with divisional needs.
Overseeing integrations, automation frameworks, and cloud related architectural elements.

Assignment Deliverables:

Architectural assessments, technical designs, and recommendations for Maximo and associated systems.
Configured or enhanced Maximo modules aligned with divisional requirements.
Test plans, test cases, quality review documents, and SIT/QA promotion packages.
Issue/defect tracking documentation and management reports.
Project schedules, prioritization frameworks, and delivery progress updates.

Expertise Required:

Must Have:

12+ years designing, developing, upgrading, documenting, and delivering full life‑cycle IBM Maximo MAS, Maximo Mobile, and Maximo 7.6.x solutions.
12+ years leading large‑scale Maximo implementations, including migrations, major releases, testing cycles, and go‑lives.
Proven experience leading development teams and providing technical direction across all SDLC phases.
Strong ability to conduct requirement‑gathering, process mapping, solution design, and change management support.
Demonstrated experience with end‑to‑end legacy data conversion, data mapping, and data migration.

Nice to Have:

Hands‑on experience with Maximo performance tuning, log analysis, and system optimization.
Experience in municipal or public‑sector environments supporting enterprise asset management platforms
