Job Specifications

Job Title: Senior Java Developer (Full Stack)

Location: Glasgow or Bournemouth, UK

Work Mode: Onsite – 5 days/week (RTO)

Contract Duration: Until December 2026

Joining: Immediate

Working Hours: 40 hours/week

Security Clearance: Not required

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot, solid database knowledge, and working exposure to modern frontend technologies. This is a fully onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, AWS, SQL, and MySQL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
Ensure application performance, quality, security, and responsiveness
Identify performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and implement fixes
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Implement security and data protection best practices
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical excellence
Support junior team members with technical guidance
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
Optimize applications for speed and scalability
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

9–13 years of hands-on experience in software development
Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC
Experience with AWS and SQL/MySQL
Good understanding of JavaScript
Working knowledge of React.js, Redux, HTML5, CSS3
Exposure to frontend testing tools such as Jest
Experience across the full software development lifecycle
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
