Role Overview

Derisk360 is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications. This is a short-term Inside IR35 contract requiring immediate availability and strong consulting experience.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications.
Design and implement microservices architectures.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
Ensure application reliability, performance, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
Participate in client-facing technical discussions when required.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Core Java (OOP, Collections, Multithreading)
Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
Hibernate / JPA
RESTful API development & integration
Microservices architecture
SQL & Database Management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Version Control: Git
Build Tools: Maven, Gradle
Unit Testing: JUnit, Mockito
CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Cloud Platforms: AWS
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Experience & Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience as a Java Engineer.
Experience in enterprise-scale and consulting environments.
Ability to work independently under tight timelines.
Comfortable with hybrid working and on-site presence in London when required.
