About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join an exciting and rapidly expanding client in the financial sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using modern Java technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure applications that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Framework.
Build and deploy microservices architectures for scalable solutions.
Integrate applications with AWS cloud services, ensuring reliability and performance.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above).
Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices.
Solid understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Exposure to Agile methodologies.
Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
