The Opportunity

This HealthTech company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the public health, NHS and local authority markets. You'll be responsible for building strategic partnerships with local authorities, public health commissioners, and related stakeholders to expand preventative healthcare solutions across communities.This is an opportunity to make a real impact in preventative health while working in a fast-growing scale-up environment. You'll have the autonomy to develop your territory while contributing to building scalable sales processes and attending industry events to represent the company.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales:

Own the full sales cycle for NHS, public health and local authority accounts, from prospecting to close
Develop and execute targeted strategies for local authorities and public health commissioners
Navigate complex public sector procurement processes, frameworks, bids and tenders
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in preventative health
Represent the company at conferences, regional meetings and industry events
Present the platform and demonstrate value to multi-stakeholder decision-making groups

Stakeholder Management:

Identify and engage with the right stakeholders across public health teams
Manage relationships across ICBs, local authorities, and public health networks
Collaborate with marketing to generate qualified leads and provide market feedback
Work with implementation teams to ensure smooth client onboarding

Strategic Contribution:

Contribute to developing sales processes, playbooks, and best practices
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights
Help shape the go-to-market strategy for the public health sector
Share learnings to support the scaling of the commercial function

Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

3+ years in B2B sales with demonstrable success in public health/local authority markets or the NHS
Deep understanding of public sector procurement, including bids, tenders, and frameworks
Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and public health commissioning
Knowledge of preventative health priorities and the local authority landscape
Strong presentation and public speaking skills for conferences and events
Consultative sales approach with evidence of sales methodology (e.g. MEDDICC)
Process-driven mindset with collaborative spirit and commercial flair
Comfortable in scale-up environments where you wear multiple hats

Preferred Experience:

HealthTech/MedTech background highly desirable
Experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot)
Network within public health and local authority sectors
Understanding of Integrated Care Systems and health innovation networks
