Back-End Developer – Sitecore XM 10.2 (Security & Platform Stability)
We are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer with deep expertise in Sitecore XM 10.2, focused on security, performance, and platform stability. In this role, you will help strengthen the resilience of large-scale digital platforms and ensure a smooth transition toward Sitecore XM Cloud.
You will work closely with solution architects, DevOps engineers, and IT security teams to implement secure coding practices, improve performance, and ensure compliance with strict security and governance standards. This is a critical role in maintaining business continuity during a major CMS cloud migration.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, stabilize, and secure an existing Sitecore XM 10.2 environment until cutover to XM Cloud
Implement and continuously improve secure development practices for Sitecore and .NET
Perform vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation across Sitecore instances, pipelines, and custom modules
Conduct code reviews with a strong focus on security, scalability, and performance
Optimize platform performance through:
Caching strategies
SQL Server tuning
CDN and WAF optimizations
Improve observability by enhancing monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g. Application Insights, Azure Monitor, or similar tools)
Contribute to the definition and adoption of SLA/OLA, incident management, and change management processes
Ensure coexistence readiness with Sitecore XM Cloud, including:
Content parity validation
Cache and purge coordination
Unified incident communication
Enforce feature freeze policy on the legacy platform (only security, compliance, and stability fixes unless approved via CAB)
Stay up to date with Sitecore updates, .NET frameworks, and web security standards
Document all technical and security changes according to governance and audit requirements
Support the project team currently executing the Sitecore XM Cloud migration
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
5+ years of recent experience in Sitecore back-end development with a focus on security and performance
5+ years of professional experience with C# / .NET
Proven hands-on experience with Sitecore XM 10.2:
Installation
Configuration & patching
Pipelines
Performance optimization
Strong knowledge of web application security (OWASP, secure headers, encryption, CSRF/XSS prevention)
Experience with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines for Sitecore (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Experience with on-premises Sitecore XM 10.2 deployments, including manual deployment procedures
Strong skills in SQL Server performance tuning and Sitecore content delivery scaling
Experience with WAF/CDN solutions in combination with traditional Sitecore XM (e.g. F5, Azure Front Door, Cloudflare)
Practical knowledge of application observability tools (Application Insights, Seq, Kibana, or similar)
Familiarity with Sitecore XM Cloud is a strong plus
Understanding of TOGAF 10.2 and strong technical documentation skills
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with architecture, DevOps, and security teams

Work regime: Full-time
Location: Brussels
On-site presence: 2 days per week on-site (default requirement)
