Google Cloud Architect | Design & Implementation project | GCP, IAM, Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE), Python / Go | £500-550 p/day inside ir35 | 5 days onsite in London | 12 month contract

Overview

An organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and govern secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on building secure-by-design infrastructure, identity and access management, and supporting delivery teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform
Apply best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance, including:
Identity and access management
Encryption and key management
Organisational policies and deny policies
Participate in IAM governance activities and compliance audits
Work within agile delivery teams in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on feature delivery
Ensure solutions are secure from inception, incorporating defence-in-depth principles

Required Skills & Experience

Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, GKE)
Google Identity & Access Management (Google Identity, OIDC, Workload Identity Federation, RBAC)
Authentication & Authorisation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
Serverless & event-driven architectures (Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Programming/scripting: Python or Go
