Role Overview: Power Platform Developer (Level 3 / Senior)

Experience: 5–7 years

Location: Montreal (Onsite Day 1, Hybrid 3 days/week)

Job Level: FTC

Team: ETS COO – Insights, Reporting, and Tooling

Environment: Fast‑paced, enterprise, regulated industry (financial services)

Key Responsibilities

1. Power Platform Development

Design and develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
Customize and extend Power Apps for business processes.
Create complex, multi-step Power Automate flows, including child flows.

2. Dataverse Engineering

Build and manage Dataverse tables, data models, option sets, and relationships.
Configure Dataverse security roles, environment roles, and row-level access.
Integrate Dataverse with internal and third-party systems/APIs.

3. SDLC, DevOps & Governance

Follow strict SDLC practices (requirements → design → dev → test → deployment).
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and solution layering.
Use GitHub for pull requests, branching, versioning, and DevOps alignment.
Ensure compliance with governance, security, and regulatory requirements (finance/insurance norms).

4. Support & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot issues in production Power Platform apps/flows.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

Power Platform Expertise (3–5+ years)

Deep hands-on experience with:
Power Apps (Canvas + Model-driven)
Power Automate
Dataverse

Dataverse Security & Architecture

Strong understanding of:
Security roles
Business units
Row-level access models
Environment strategies

SDLC Discipline

Experience working in structured, highly governed SDLC environments.
Comfortable with requirements gathering, testing, and deployment best practices.

GitHub / DevOps

Proficiency in:
Branching strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based)
Version control
Pull requests & code reviews

Regulated Industry Background

Prior experience in:
Financial services, insurance, healthcare, or similarly audited sectors
Familiarity with compliance, change-management, audit trails, and documentation standards.

Integration Skills

Ability to integrate Power Platform solutions with:
SharePoint
SQL Server
REST APIs
Microsoft 365 services

Data Analysis

Strong data interpretation using Excel or Power BI.
