Job Description

About the role

As an Integration Consultant within our growing Anaplan squad, you will bridge the gap between business planning and technical integration. As our customers’ IT landscapes evolve—spanning ERP systems, data lakes, cloud platforms, and strict security requirements—you will ensure that integrations are never a blocker for successful project delivery.

In this role, you will design, validate, and advise on integrations between Anaplan and enterprise systems such as SAP, cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks), and ETL/iPaaS tooling. Working closely with solution architects, model builders, customer IT teams, and business stakeholders, you will translate supply chain planning needs into scalable, secure, and reliable integration flows.

This position combines integration and modelbuilding responsibilities. You will develop straightforward integrations (API calls, JDBC scripts, proofs of concept) while also serving as a technical advisor during presales conversations, discovery workshops, and architectural decisionmaking. The role intentionally balances handson integration work with core modelbuilding tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with client supply chain planners and stakeholders to understand planning challenges and capture functional requirements during workshops.
Translate business and supply chain planning requirements into integration‑ready technical options, data flows, and corresponding Anaplan modules and dashboards—together with the project lead and solution architect.
Serve as the technical liaison between planning teams, model builders, and customer IT (ERP, Data Engineering, Security, CyberSec).
Lead or co‑lead integration discovery sessions, gathering system requirements and recommending architecture patterns.
Design, build, advise, and test integrations between Anaplan and ERP systems, data platforms, and cloud connectors.
Build simple integration components yourself, such as API/Postman calls, JDBC queries, and lightweight ETL or batch scripts.
Validate and challenge integrations built by customer IT, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Support end‑to‑end testing, including data validation, field mappings, and refresh cadence design.
Represent integration expertise during pre‑sales, addressing IT‑related questions and strengthening solution feasibility.
Contribute to practice assets, including templates, best practices, checklists, and reusable patterns.

Job requirements

Experience

About you

3–5 years of experience in consulting, systems integration, or a hybrid business/IT role.
Proven IT affinity, including exposure to coding or scripting (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript).
Experience collaborating with IT stakeholders (ERP consultants, data engineering teams, cybersecurity, cloud/platform teams).
Experience collaborating closely with supply chain planners and process owners, understanding their planning needs and translating them into effective model‑building and integration approaches.
Client‑facing experience: workshops, discovery interviews, technical alignment sessions.

Education

Master’s degree in a hybrid business‑technology domain (e.g., Business Engineering & Information Systems, Applied Economics with IT specialization) or a technical/STEM degree with a clear consulting mindset.
Anaplan certifications (Model Builder, CloudWorks, HyperConnect) are a plus, but not mandatory.
Certifications in integration tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, SAP Adapter,...) are a plus.

Skills

Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts (demand, supply, inventory, S&OP), enabling effective translation of planning requirements into models and integrations.
Able to read and interpret code, API documentation, and technical specs, and hands‑on in working with REST APIs using tools like Postman.
Understanding of system‑to‑system connectivity (SFTP, OAuth, tokens, keys, whitelisting).
Ability to build simple integrations (JDBC, batch scripts, small ETL logic).
Strong conceptual understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, ERPs, and cloud data platforms.
Familiarity with ETL/iPaaS tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, SAP Adapter) or strong learning ability.
SAP familiarity is a major plus.
Excellent communication skills: able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Structured, analytical problem‑solver with strong conceptual thinking.
Able to challenge assumptions and identify integration risks early.
Comfortable engaging with senior IT stakeholders.
You feel connected with and are ready to represent our company values: dig deep, own it, come together, move fast and be kind!
You show a willingness to travel globally and to work in a hybrid working model.
You have a valid driver’s license or will obtain this in the next 6 months.
