I’m partnered with a profitable, fast-scaling fintech in the mobile app space who are entering their next phase of growth.

Following strong B2C momentum, they are now accelerating into a new SMB customer segment, creating the need for an experienced Performance Marketing Lead to step in on an 8 month fixed-term contract and drive acquisition across both audiences.

The business has grown significantly over the last few years, adding 100+ people recently, and combines scaleup ambition with financial stability. This hire will play a critical role in shaping the next stage of customer growth.

The role

This is not a maintenance position. It is a hands-on leadership role with clear commercial accountability.

You will take full ownership of paid acquisition across web and app, leading strategy and execution across both B2C and an emerging SMB proposition. The SMB motion brings a new layer of complexity around targeting, messaging, and channel mix, so experience navigating different customer types is key.

You’ll manage multi-million-pound budgets, oversee one direct report, and act as the senior performance voice within marketing during a period of expansion and evolution.

What you’ll focus on

Defining and executing performance strategy across B2C and SMB segments
Scaling paid social and Google as core growth drivers, alongside affiliates and emerging channels
Allocating and optimising significant budgets with clear CAC and LTV accountability
Designing structured testing roadmaps to unlock incremental growth
Adapting acquisition strategy to suit differing customer journeys across consumer and small business audiences
Partnering closely with brand, product, creative, and content teams to ensure aligned messaging
Owning end-to-end acquisition performance across web and app
Leading and developing a senior paid marketing executive
Representing acquisition in senior cross-functional conversations

You’ll need to balance strategic thinking with close proximity to performance data. This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the detail while influencing direction.

The setup

Hybrid working with two fixed office days per week in London.
