Our client is in the Public Sector and they are looking to grow the team with a SQL Developer. This role can be done mostly remote with odd travel to the head office in Manchester.
Description
Develop, test, and deploy software applications tailored to organisational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse technical requirements.
Ensure the maintenance and optimisation of existing software systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues as needed.
Document software development processes and maintain accurate records.
Contribute to the design and architecture of new application solutions.
Implement security best practices within all software developments.
Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the public sector.
Profile
Must haves:
SQL Server 2016 - database administration, performance troubleshooting, backup/restore strategies, security management, and SQL Agent job configuration
Strong experience and skills in both System Admin and Database Administration using SQL Server is particularly important
Solid T-SQL skills - writing and debugging stored procedures, scripts, and maintenance routines
SQL Scripting
Strong troubleshooting skills
Stakeholder experience - technical and non technical
Nice to haves:
Java/JBoss/J2EE
