Job Title: Marketing Researcher
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 12 + months (Possibilities of Extension)
Payrate: $55 - $58/hr
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Market Research professional to help uncover customer insights and drive data-informed decisions for digital products and services in the technology space. In this role, you will partner closely with product, marketing, design, and strategy teams to design and execute research that informs product development and go-to-market strategies.
You’ll lead end-to-end research initiatives, combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies to understand customer needs, behaviors, and market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research studies to answer key business and product questions
Translate business challenges into clear research objectives and actionable insights
Conduct customer interviews, usability sessions, and other qualitative research activities
Program, test, and launch surveys using Qualtrics, including advanced logic, branching, quotas, and randomization
Manage research fieldwork, including participant recruitment and vendor coordination when needed
Analyze data using techniques such as cross-tabulation, segmentation, and driver analysis
Synthesize findings and deliver clear, executive-ready presentations with actionable recommendations
Present insights to cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Marketing, UX, and Strategy teams
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in market research, preferably within the technology or digital product space
Strong experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, segmentation, customer journeys, ethnography)
Hands-on experience with survey programming in Qualtrics
Ability to translate complex research findings into clear, compelling insights and storytelling
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with SPSS or similar statistical analysis tools
Familiarity with design thinking and lean experimentation frameworks
Experience conducting usability testing
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business, Psychology, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
