The Role
We are looking for a Social Media Manager (Freelance) with strong experience in the women’s fashion industry to lead social media strategy and execution across two growing fashion SMEs.
As the sole social media specialist, you will play a key role in owning the full social ecosystems end-to-end. We are looking for a true strategist who can think big, execute beautifully, and constantly evolve our social presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and own the social media strategy for both brands, aligned with commercial and brand objectives
Plan and mange content calendars, campaigns, launches, and seasonal moments and align with the team.
Identify growth opportunities across platforms using trends, data, and audience insights
Content Creation & Execution
Create engaging, on-brand content for TikTok, Instagram, and Meta (Facebook)
Lead ideation for short-form video, Reels, TikToks, Stories, and feed content
Stay ahead of trends while ensuring content remains authentic to each brand
Write compelling captions and oversee creative direction
Create AI content with Adobe
Influencer & Creator Management
Identify, onboard, and manage influencers and creators
Negotiate collaborations and oversee gifting, paid partnerships, and campaigns
Track performance and ROI of influencer activity
Develop and manage onsite UGC strategies, including working with platforms such as Yotpo
Encourage and curate customer-generated content to support social and ecommerce
Understand how UGC integrates across social, website, and paid channels
Channel Ownership
Full management of TikTok, Instagram, and Meta accounts
Deep understanding of platform algorithms, best practices, and analytics
Monitor performance and optimise content based on insights and results
Photoshoots & Brand Collaboration
Assist with brand photoshoots, including:
Content planning for social
Model selection
Shoot lists and social-first creative direction
Tools, Agencies & Growth
Be knowledgeable about agencies, platforms, and software that support social growth
Recommend and manage tools that improve reach, efficiency, and performance
Stay informed on new social technologies, trends, and opportunities
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager (within a fashion retailer)
Have a proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
A strategist first, with hands-on with content creation.
Exceptionally organised with strong time-management skills
Confident working independently as the sole social media specialist
Strong understanding of influencer marketing, UGC, and social-led ecommerce
Passionate about fashion, branding, and digital culture
