Role Overview

We are hiring a senior Ecommerce Product Management and Transformation Consultant to guide an enterprise customer in defining, modernizing, and scaling their digital commerce ecosystems.

This is a strategic advisory role at the intersection of business, product, and ecommerce technology. The individual will drive product vision, roadmap clarity, platform decisions, and cross-functional alignment across business, marketing, IT, UX, and engineering teams.

The role requires deep ecommerce domain expertise, strong technical fluency, and the ability to facilitate structured multi-stakeholder decision-making.

What You Will Do

1. Ecommerce Product Strategy

Define product vision, roadmap, and capability evolution
Align product strategy with commercial KPIs (conversion, AOV, LTV, retention, margin)
Lead product discovery and stakeholder alignment workshops
Build business cases for ecommerce transformation

2. Platform & Architecture Advisory

Evaluate and recommend ecommerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, composable/headless models)
Advise on architecture patterns (API-first, microservices, composable commerce)
Guide integration landscape (OMS, PIM, CMS, CRM, Payments, Martech)
Provide input on scalability, performance, personalization, and experimentation

3. Product Operating Model & Governance

Define product-centric delivery model
Structure prioritization frameworks and OKRs
Drive backlog clarity and roadmap governance
Enable collaboration across UX, engineering, data, and business

4. Experience & Conversion Optimization

Lead journey mapping and experience rationalization
Define personalization and experimentation roadmap
Improve search, merchandising, promotions, and omnichannel strategy

5. Stakeholder Leadership

Facilitate executive discussions and alignment forums
Translate business needs into structured product definitions
Communicate technical trade-offs in business language
Drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups

What We’re Looking For

Experience

10-15+ years in ecommerce, digital product management, or commerce consulting
Proven experience advising or leading enterprise ecommerce initiatives
Hands-on exposure to at least one major commerce platform
Experience in re-platforming, modernization, or headless commerce initiatives
Strong understanding of retail / D2C / marketplace models

Technical Fluency

Commerce platforms (Shopify, Adobe Commerce, SFCC, BigCommerce, headless stacks)
API-first and composable architectures
Integration ecosystems (OMS, PIM, CMS, CRM, payment gateways)
Data-driven experimentation and personalization
