Job Specifications

The motion developer is responsible for creating visually appealing, animated banners ads. This role requires a self-starter not afraid to venture outside their comfort zone as we grow in automation. The motion developer generates a high volume of assets in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality, on-brand consistency across all work.

Primary responsibilities:

Manage multiple projects with ease while collaborating with producers, developers, designers, and art directors to meet tight deadlines.
Build animated HTML banners to run in ad platforms using Innovid, Google Campaign Manager 360, and Amazon Ads Creative Studio.
Use Figma files and PSDs to generate pixel-perfect HTML layouts using CSS and Adobe Animate.
Optimize banner ads for fast loading and efficient performance.
Look for ways to improve workflow efficiency and shorten turnaround times.
Seek out new industry approaches and share discoveries with the team to fuel innovation.

Core competencies & requirements:

Five+ years’ experience as a motion developer.
Bachelor’s degree in, multimedia, graphic design, animation, or equivalent work experience.
Strong portfolio/reel required.
Robust understanding of design principles and application in banner ad development.
Able to interpret and build frame by frames (FxFs) for deliverables.
Strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Animate, and GitHub.
Expertise in Vanilla JavaScript, GreenSock Animation Platform, and CreateJS.
Deep understanding of CSS, Flexbox, and HTML.
Handlebars.js, or Node.js is a plus.
Experience with accessibility guidelines.
Familiarity with After Effects (and expressions).
An understanding of video editing and video requirements for major social platforms is a plus.
Experience with a project management system, such as Workfront, is preferred.
