Social Media Lead | High Growth Consumer Fintech | initial 3 Month Contract | Circa £500 per day inside IR35

We’re partnering with a challenger consumer fintech brand to hire an experienced Social Media Lead on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a high visibility role within a fast moving, performance driven marketing team. The business operates at scale, with a sophisticated digital acquisition engine and a clear focus on efficient, sustainable growth.

Paid Social is a core acquisition lever, so my client is looking for an experienced campaigner to turn the dial on metrics such as CAC, CTR and CPM.

They need someone who can step in quickly, bring structure and clarity, and materially improve paid social performance, someone who enjoys experimentation and innovation.

The role

You will own social media strategy and execution across key channels, with a clear emphasis on paid social efficiency and acquisition impact.

This is not a pure brand storytelling brief. The expectation is that social activity contributes directly to improving CAC, driving stronger CTR and optimising CPM across campaigns.

You’ll work closely with growth, paid media, creative and analytics teams to ensure creative quality and media efficiency work together to deliver measurable business impact.

This is hands on leadership. You will shape strategy, but you should be comfortable interrogating performance dashboards, testing creative variants and challenging spend allocation where needed.

What you’ll be doing

Leading end to end social strategy with a strong paid performance focus

Driving improvements in CAC through creative testing, audience refinement and smarter budget allocation

Increasing CTR through better messaging, format optimisation and platform best practice

Improving CPM efficiency by refining targeting, placements and bidding strategy

Ensuring social investment aligns to acquisition, revenue and lifetime value targets

Partnering closely with growth and analytics teams to evaluate incrementality and return

Overseeing content planning so organic activity supports performance objectives

Managing agencies and platform relationships where relevant

Providing clear, commercially focused reporting to senior stakeholders

What they’re looking for

Proven experience leading social in a high volume consumer environment

Strong paid social expertise with clear impact on CAC, CTR and CPM

Evidence of commercial accountability linked to acquisition and revenue outcomes

Comfort working within a regulated or compliance conscious sector

Confidence partnering with growth, brand and data teams

Ability to balance creative excellence with performance discipline

Comfort stepping into a contract role and delivering measurable improvement quickly

Circa £500 per day

Hybrid working, 2 days per week in office, Wednesday anchor day, City location
