Job Specifications
We are looking for an Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support our client’s Engineering Chapter by ensuring the reliability, scalability, monitoring, and performance of their on‑premises services within the ERA product organization.
You will design and maintain observability platforms, optimize monitoring and automation, enforce security compliance, and collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure uptime and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and improve the monitoring infrastructure (Grafana, Prometheus/PromQL, OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch).
Create custom dashboards, alerts, and visualization solutions for operational teams.
Implement distributed tracing and log aggregation to achieve end‑to‑end observability.
Define and maintain SLI/SLO frameworks and observability best practices.
Ensure security compliance of all on‑prem monitoring tools and environments.
Automate deployment and configuration management using Python, Bash, or Go.
Collaborate with development teams to support application instrumentation and telemetry quality.
Participate in 24/7 on‑duty rotations to guarantee uptime and rapid incident response.
Technical Requirements
The consultant should have expertise in:
Grafana, Prometheus (including PromQL), OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch
Linux administration, networking, and on‑premises infrastructure security
Automation & scripting using Python, Bash, or Go
Monitoring/observability: 3+ years experience, including 2+ years with Grafana & Prometheus in production
Proven track record in on‑premises infrastructure and enterprise security practices
Ability to balance technical trade‑offs with business needs and ensure compliance
Profile
Experience in reliability engineering, monitoring, observability, or Linux-focused infrastructure roles
Strong operational discipline with a focus on MTTD/MTTR reduction
Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams
Fluent in English (C1 minimum); German, French, or Dutch is a plus
Autonomous, structured, and skilled in managing multiple technical priorities
Analytical mindset with focus on automation, security, and performance optimization
