Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce & Java Implementation Business Analyst to support large-scale child welfare technology modernization initiatives. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) and related applications used across state and partner agencies.

The Business Analyst will work closely with developers, system administrators, program stakeholders, and agency partners to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions, improve system functionality, and ensure compliance with federal and state child welfare regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with Salesforce experience, workflow automation expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to contribute to high-impact public sector technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and document business processes, system requirements, and functional specifications for child welfare information systems.

Provide technical and program support to development teams implementing Salesforce and Java-based systems.

Translate federal and state regulatory requirements into system design and implementation requirements.

Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), system design documentation, and workflow diagrams.

Design and execute system testing plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), and test case scenarios.

Assist with data migration and data conversion from legacy child welfare systems.

Support the implementation and rollout of new applications and system enhancements.

Create training materials, user guides, webinars, and documentation for system users and partner agencies.

Provide help desk support and technical assistance to agency users and external partners.

Monitor system usage, compliance, and user adoption across partner organizations.

Analyze data and generate reports supporting federal and state reporting requirements.

Identify system issues and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.

Conduct stakeholder meetings, presentations, and training sessions for agency partners and system users.

Participate in policy updates and system alignment with regulatory requirements.

Prepare reports and presentations for government stakeholders and program leadership.

Required Skills / Education

Associate degree or equivalent technical study in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting technology or workflow automation projects.

2+ years of Salesforce platform experience supporting business or system implementations.

2+ years of workflow automation or digital process improvement experience.

Experience applying laws, policies, and regulatory requirements to system design or implementation.

Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Excellent communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.

Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop technical solutions.

Experience working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce CRM implementations or Salesforce administration.

Knowledge of Ohio SACWIS or other child welfare information systems.

Experience supporting government, public sector, or human services technology programs.

Experience leading digital workflow automation or system modernization initiatives.

Familiarity with CCWIS standards, child welfare program systems, or case management platforms.
