Job Specifications

A leading music technology company is hiring a Data Scientist to support their music publishing operations team. Based in New York City, the role offers a full-time contractor position focused on analytics and operational workflows for an innovative organization in the music industry.

Data Scientist Responsibilities:

Develop recurring reports and respond to ad hoc data requests related to publishing and licensing.
Collaborate with teams to convert complex questions into clear analytical projects with measurable outcomes.
Design and maintain data products, dashboards, and self-serve tools to optimize data consumption.
Automate processes to minimize manual work, including pipelines, analyses, and monitoring systems.
Build and assess statistical or machine learning models to aid decision-making and forecasting.

Data Scientist Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with all phases of the data science process including data cleaning, analysis, and modeling.
Strong SQL proficiency and experience handling large datasets.
Intermediate Python skills.
Ability to communicate technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of integrating AI tools into workflows.
