**Job Title**
Category Analyst – Raw Materials
**Role Summary**
Analyze and manage spend, supply chain, and procurement activities for raw material categories. Develop data‑driven insights, support forecasting, and contribute to category strategy within a global, matrixed organization.
**Expactations**
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver accurate spend forecasts, performance reports, and savings analyses.
- Drive implementation of category strategies while meeting governance standards.
- Manage multiple priorities under time pressure with high data integrity.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Structure spend analysis and maintain data management for graphite electrodes, anthracite, cathodes, fluoride, refractories, steel, and copper.
- Support sourcing cycle: fact‑base analysis, bid launch, contract management, and supplier onboarding.
- Manage supply‑chain tasks: trial volume monitoring, quality tracking, demand planning, inventory, and working‑capital tracking.
- Perform market analysis, total‑cost modeling, and monthly spend forecasting.
- Issue purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve accounts‑payable issues.
- Produce performance reports and maintain SAP/Ariba system data.
- Identify and pursue cost‑saving opportunities and improvements to total cost of ownership.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical, data‑collation, and scenario‑analysis capabilities.
- Project‑management and continuous‑improvement experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and work independently in a matrix environment.
- Creative problem‑solving and customer/supplier relationship management.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, supply‑chain, or commercial experience in a multinational setting (e.g., mining, manufacturing, automotive).
- No specific certifications required, though relevant procurement or supply‑chain credentials are advantageous.
