Business Systems Analyst - SAP Finance / S/4HANA GL (Contract)

Location: Canada - Toronta (Hybrid 1 day per week in office)

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with deep expertise in SAP Finance and S/4HANA General Ledger (GL) to join a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for a technically proficient BSA with a background in development and a strong command of SQL, who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document solution requirements for SAP Finance and S/4HANA GL modules.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation for development and implementation teams.
Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals and technical standards.
Perform data analysis and validation using advanced SQL queries.
Support system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst in complex enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Finance and S/4HANA General Ledger (GL).
Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and solution requirements.
Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Background in software development or strong technical acumen to understand and contribute to technical discussions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience in the financial services or banking sector.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
