Job Specifications

Job Title: Application Migration Specialist (Contract)

Location: Remote, with potential travel to U.S. sites (Must be able to travel up to 20%)

Duration: 6+ months (possible extension)

Overview:

We’re seeking experienced Application Migration Specialists to support a large-scale application and infrastructure migration as part of a cybersecurity compliance and modernization program. The role involves planning, documenting, and executing migrations for a broad portfolio of applications and servers into a secure, compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to gather technical requirements.
Analyze existing configurations, dependencies, and integrations.
Develop migration runbooks, templates, and validation plans.
Coordinate migration schedules and assist with testing and cutovers.
Troubleshoot post-migration issues and update DR documentation.
Evaluate authentication, security, and connectivity configurations.

Required Experience:

Strong background in Windows Server, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and Active Directory.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, IIS, and application integrations (ERP, APIs, ETL).
Proven success in M&A migrations, DR planning, and reverse-engineering undocumented systems.
Familiarity with PowerShell, authentication (MFA/SSO), and Linux-based applications.

Exceptional documentation and organizational abilities.
Comfortable working independently in complex, fast-changing environments.
Flexibility to support off-hours migration work.
U.S. citizenship required for compliance purposes.
