We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People and Culture Intern to join our People and Culture team. This role offers hands-on experience in various People and Culture functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, and administrative support. The People and Culture Intern will work closely with the team to support day-to-day People and Culture operations while gaining valuable insights into human resources management in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Hiring
Assist in posting job openings on job boards and social media platforms.
Screen resumes and coordinate candidate interviews.
Support pre-employment processes such as background checks and reference verifications.
Onboarding
Help prepare onboarding materials and assist in coordinating orientation sessions.
Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and filed accurately.
HR Administration
Technology & HRIS Exposure. Familiarity with or willingness to learn HRIS platforms (ADP, Cornerstone, LinkedIn Learning)
Ability to work with data reports, audit information for accuracy, and maintain data integrity
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS database.
Assist in organizing and maintaining HR documents, including contracts and performance records.
Respond to employee inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
Employee Engagement
Support planning and execution of employee engagement activities, such as events or recognition programs.
Assist in collecting and analyzing employee feedback through surveys or interviews.
Training and Development
Assist in scheduling training sessions and preparing materials.
Track attendance and collect feedback from training participants.
P&C Projects
Participate in ongoing P&C projects such as policy updates, diversity initiatives, or process improvements.
Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends.
Other Duties
Provide general administrative support to the P&C team as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for P&C initiatives.
Ability to capture concise and accurate meeting minutes, including key discussion points, decisions, and next steps
Serve as a peer leader for the summer intern cohort, helping coordinate intern activities, sharing information, and supporting a positive and collaborative internship experience.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Strong interest in pursuing a career in HR
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

The below hourly range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
Hourly Range: $24 USD - $24 USD
