Software Engineer (SNOW) – Contract – Orlando, FL – $55.00 - $63.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer experienced with ServiceNow in Orlando, FL

Role Description

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining Service Catalog Items that power essential corporate functions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product owners, quality engineers, and business stakeholders — to develop scalable solutions, implement new features, and ensure system reliability. By applying modern development practices and agile methodologies, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality software that aligns with strategic objectives and drives our digital transformation. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces innovation, and excels at turning complex technical challenges into elegant, efficient solutions.

Platform Development: Assist in the configuration, development, and customization of the ServiceNow platform across various modules (e.g., ITSM).

Service Catalog Development: Develop and maintain Service Catalog Items, Record Producers, and Order Guides, ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive experience. Configure variable sets, catalog client scripts, and UI policies to meet specific request requirements.

Workflow Automation: Design and implement process automation using Flow Designer and/or Workflow Studio, including creating flows, subflows, and custom actions to manage requests, approvals, and fulfillment tasks. Transition legacy workflows to Flow Designer where appropriate.

Scripting and Configuration: Write, test, and maintain scripts (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts) using JavaScript to extend platform functionality.

Skills & Requirements

Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on professional development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
Core Platform Expertise (Service Catalog): Demonstrated experience creating and managing all components of the Service Catalog, including Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, and Variable Sets.
Automation Tool: Expertise in building, testing, and debugging process automation using Flow Designer (or Workflow Studio).
Scripting Language: Proficiency in JavaScript for writing, debugging, and optimizing various platform scripts (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts).
Web Technologies: Familiarity with standard web technologies and integrating with external systems using REST/SOAP web services.
Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
BS in STEM

Pluses

Modules: Experience working with other ServiceNow modules (e.g., HRSD, CSM, or Security Operations).
Source Control: Familiarity with modern development practices, including using Git or other source control tools.
ITIL: Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL framework principles.
Certification: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Micro Certifications: Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Portal
