Job Title - Digital Business Analyst & Test Lead – HR Systems
Period – 18 months Contract
Location - Toronto, ON (3 days onsite)
About
As a Digital Business Analyst & Test Lead, you will partner closely with the PeopleComms Tech Enablement Lead, our Centers of Excellence and IT Partners, to support requirements elicitation and own the test strategy, execution oversight, and defect management for PeopleComms technology initiatives. You’ll collaborate with global stakeholders, analyze workflows, and ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement across projects, incremental enhancements, and BAU.
What you’ll do
Partner with HR stakeholders to gather and document business and user requirements.
Translate requirements into functional specs, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Own the test strategy and execution across system, integration, UAT, and regression testing.
Lead UAT planning, coordination, defect triage, and release readiness.
Track and report on quality metrics, risks, and defects.
Support ongoing enhancements, BAU work, and vendor releases.
Ensure HR data privacy, accessibility, and quality standards are met.
Required experience
3+ years as a Business Analyst or HR Systems Analyst in HR technology.
Experience with Workday and/or ServiceNow HRSD (Core HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Time & Absence).
Hands-on Test Lead experience (test planning, execution, defect management).
Strong knowledge of SDLC (Agile/Waterfall) and testing methodologies.
Experience with tools like JIRA, Xray, or similar.
Strong communication skills and experience leading workshops and UAT with global stakeholders.
Solid understanding of HR processes and talent lifecycle.
Nice to have
Human-Centered Design exposure, HR or project certifications.
Experience in global environments or working with vendors.
Configuration or light technical background.
