Job Description:

On behalf of the public sector, Affinity is looking for a M365 Solutions Designer who will be responsible for analyzing complex technical problems, identifying areas for improvement, and shaping recommendations to drive efficiencies and quality across the services delivered by the M365 tenant. The Solution Designer will work across IT, OCM and Information Management teams to collect and analyze requirements and potential technical blockers, and then develop actionable insights to drive decision-making and ultimately configure the in-scope services of the project.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement Windows 11 profiles for enterprise users
Deploy and manage Windows 11 devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, ensuring secure onboarding and compliance
Define and enforce Windows 11 device management policies, including security baselines and compliance rules
Lead cloud migrations from legacy network drives to OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online
Execute SharePoint migrations from on-premises environments to modern SharePoint Online to improve collaboration and scalability
Harden Windows 11 devices using advanced security configurations and industry best practices
Implement enterprise security configurations across Microsoft 365 tenants and Active Directory environments
Integrate Microsoft Entra ID with domain-joined devices to secure access to datacenter resources
Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender to protect endpoints and enforce threat protection policies
Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to design scalable Microsoft 365 architectures
Deliver hands-on implementations aligned with organizational governance, compliance, and productivity goals
Provide technical leadership and maintain documentation for enterprise rollouts and migrations
Identify Microsoft 365 process inefficiencies and bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve productivity
Document and communicate technical designs clearly to project teams and stakeholders
Support change management and user training related to Microsoft 365 configurations and Windows 11 profiles
Stay current with trends and best practices in IT Service Management, methodologies, and related tools
Perform related duties as required

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a solution designer or architect in Microsoft Cloud–integrated environments
Strong experience leading the design and implementation of Microsoft 365 services in hybrid environments
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Microsoft certifications such as Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator Associate, or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
ITIL Foundation certification (desirable)
Experience working in rapidly evolving environments with matrix leadership structures (asset)
Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) standards and practices
Knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies for Microsoft 365 services and zero-trust environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
Strong planning, organization, and task management skills, including prioritization and execution
Ability to anticipate, investigate, research, and analyze complex problems and resolve or escalate issues appropriately
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise reports
Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to the role

Pay Rate: $95 per hour.
