Core Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design of Salesforce CPQ solutions, including product configuration (bundles, features, options), complex pricing logic, and advanced output document generation.
Usage-Based Implementation: Design and implement data models to support usage-based pricing, including the integration of external usage data into Salesforce Billing or third-party billing engines.
Technical Governance: Define best practices for system architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce multi-tenant best practices.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, and Product teams to translate business-driven pricing strategies into technical requirements.
Integration Design: Oversee the integration between Salesforce CPQ/Billing and downstream ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) to ensure seamless revenue recognition.
Mentorship: Lead technical workshops and provide guidance to developers and administrators on CPQ configuration and customization (APEX, Lightning Components).

Technical Qualifications

Salesforce Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Salesforce CPQ.
Usage-Based Pricing (UBP): Proven track record of implementing UBP models, including experience with consumption schedules, usage summaries, and metered billing.
Salesforce Billing: Deep understanding of the Salesforce Billing package, specifically how it handles usage mediation and rating.
Declarative vs. Programmatic: Expert knowledge of CPQ Plugins (Quote Calculator Plugin - QCP) and Price Rules, knowing when to use out-of-the-box functionality versus custom code.
Certifications: * Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist (Required).
Salesforce Certified Billing Specialist (Highly Preferred).
Salesforce Certified Application/System Architect (Preferred).
